Good morning
Creamy Porridge for breakfast this morning. There is something homely and comforting about porridge for breakfast in winter. I always feel as though I can go forward into the day feeling warm, cosy and heartily full. I can deal with whatever the world wants to throw at me. My method is a good old -fashioned one. I use real traditional oats…none of these quick microwave jobs for me. One cup of oats to two cups of water into a saucepan and heat gently, stirring occassionally until thick and creamy. Welcome to my new blog. For those interested “les plaisirs du plat” actually translates to “delights or pleasures of the dish”. I thought it appropriate for a food writing blog. As for myself – I am a mother, freelance writer, blogger and artist. I like all things creative and receive great joy from reading all sorts of books, especially cooking books.
